Salaried Position
The Junior Production Manager is a hands-on, entry-level management role responsible for leading daily
production floor operations while supporting broader operational and people management objectives. This
position requires strong leadership presence, effective communication, and a continuous improvement
mindset to ensure safety, quality, productivity, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced production or logistics
environment.
This role is ideal for an experienced supervisor ready to step into management or an early-career manager
developing full production leadership capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage daily production operations to ensure a safe work environment, consistent quality standards, and on
time delivery of customer orders.
• Plan labor, assign work, and adjust staffing levels to meet production demands while maintaining efficiency
and productivity targets.
• Monitor operational performance, including productivity, efficiency, and quality metrics; analyze results and
implement corrective actions in partnership with leadership.
• Coordinate with planning, quality, inventory, warehouse, and logistics teams to support production goals and
resolve operational issues.
• Lead, coach, and develop production staff and team leads by providing direction, training, ongoing feedback,
and performance evaluations.
• Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management activities in collaboration with HR and
senior leadership.
• Promote and model a culture of accountability, teamwork, safety, and continuous improvement on the
production floor.
• Enforce all safety, health, and company policies while ensuring compliance with customer quality standards
and standard operating procedures.
• Investigate and address safety incidents, quality concerns, and operational disruptions, escalating issues as
appropriate.
• Apply lean principles and standard work practices to improve efficiency and reduce waste.
• Identify process improvement opportunities and assist with the implementation of operational initiatives and
new product launches.
Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of progressive experience in production, warehouse, or operations leadership, including direct
supervision of teams.
• Proven ability to lead employees in a fast-paced, floor-focused environment.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills.
• Experience in a manufacturing, logistics, or 3PL environment.
• Familiarity with production planning, labor scheduling, and performance metrics.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing or continuous improvement methodologies.
• Forklift certification A Plus
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Work Environment
Must be able to stand and walk on the production floor for extended periods and perform light physical activities,
including bending, twisting, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs as needed. May require evening, weekend occasional
availability.
