Grain fed steer to be butchered at Raber Packing in Peoria, IL. Steer was bred, born & raised on our farm near Avon, IL. We are full time farmers that have been feeding cattle for 3 generations on this farm. From this steer expect a large ribeye, minimal backfat. Price is market price which is $4 / pound of carcass weight + processing fob locker. We price our freezer beef based on market price at time of butcher. Now is the opportunity to fill the freezer. Half or whole beef available. Processing cost depends on how you want it packaged & cut but usually runs ~ $1 / lb. How it works; Confirm with me that you want the beef, call the locker get the weight & give them cutting instructions, mail me a check, The locker lets beef age until mid June & meat gets packaged per your instructions, then go get some tasty beef.
